Having a closer look at the finishing of this gorgeous cotton apron, you will notice that the edges are neatly hemmed with a double hem so that the fabric does not fray. Flipping the apron on its back, you can find a care label and my signature AMPellegrini Art & Design label sewn in near the straps.

All of the illustrations for the mushroom apron have been hand painted and developed into a print design by myself, Anna-Maria Pellegrini. I mainly work from my studio in East London, in the UK. My background in textile design engineering means that the quality of the materials and the print are at the core of my practice. Combining bold and storytelling print designs with durable and functional textiles was the idea behind my British made kitchen textiles range. I work together with en England based textiles manufacturer who prints and makes the aprons to my specifications for me. Over the past few years we have developed a great business relationship and both are keen to support the economy in the UK.
