The storytelling pattern on this bold mushroom apron features a vast range of my hand painted mushroom and fungi illustrations. It features a bold red Fly Agaric mushroom (also known as a Toadstool), bright yellow Chanterelles, pink Oyster Mushrooms and many more. They are surrounded by some patches of moss and the occasional snail peeking through. The dense pattern will disguise any stains that might not come off in the wash. If you have a mushroom and fungi fanatic in your friend group, then this is the perfect Christmas gift for them!

This mushroom apron is made from a strong, durable cotton fabric. The weave of the cotton is loose enough to allow the fabric to absorb liquids when you quickly need to wipe your hands while you are cooking. The dense busy pattern easily will disguise any stains that might not come off in the wash, so your Woodland Shrooms apron will stay beautiful for a long time. Each mushroom apron has adjustable neck straps which means it will fit nicely for people of different heights. Having a closer look at the finishing of this gorgeous cotton apron, you will notice that the edges are neatly hemmed with a double hem so that the fabric does not fray. Flipping the apron on its back, you can find a care label and my signature AMPellegrini Art & Design label sewn in near the straps.
The mushroom inspired apron would make the perfect gift for that one friend which is just obsessed about anything to do with mushrooms. With its mainly earthy tones, reds and greens it would also be an ideal Christmas gift for your husband or dad. All of the illustrations for the mushroom apron have been hand painted and developed into a print design by myself, Anna-Maria Pellegrini. I mainly work from my studio in East London, in the UK. My background in textile design engineering means that the quality of the materials and the print are at the core of my practice. Combining bold and storytelling print designs with durable and functional textiles was the idea behind my British made kitchen textiles range. I work together with en England based textiles manufacturer who prints and makes the aprons to my specifications for me. Over the past few years we have developed a great business relationship and both are keen to support the economy in the UK.

My textile manufacturer and myself recommend the following to make sure your apron lasts you for a long time:
wash your apron at 40 degrees
let it air dry
(steam) iron your apron at a low to medium heat from the back side
do not use bleach
do not excessively wring the tea towel
Please note: if you decide to wash your apron at a higher temperature as well as iron and tumble dry it at high heat, the material and print will wear off quicker.
