In this originally hand-painted illustration, a deep rustic orange-brown monarch butterfly is resting on a delicate yellow and white garden flower. The monarch is characterized by its strongly structured wings of a deep orange-brown with black veins and white spots on the outer wing edges and its body. A delicate forget-me-not flower is growing in from the side of the coaster. The fading out of the deep sky blue watercolour gradient in the background lets the natural texture of the marble shine through and it gives the appearance, this garden scene has been painted directly onto the stone. This joyful butterfly coaster is a fantastic choice for stocking fillers this Christmas.

This butterfly marble coaster is the ideal Christmas present for a garden, nature and flower lover and adds an artistic and joyful touch to any dining and kitchen table. The coaster is very versatile and can be used to hold your freshly brewed coffee mug, a sweet summer drink or a small plant pot or vase. The marble tile underneath the printed floral design has a beautiful natural texture and rounded rustic edges. The print has been sealed with a protective tile varnish to protect the surface from heat, stains and water. The varnish has a slight satin finish. Hot cups and mugs can be placed onto the coaster without any worries, but it is recommended to be careful with hot oven trays, pots and pans. The cork backing prevents any table surfaces from getting scratched and holds the signature teal green AMPellegrini Art & Design logo, which has been ink-stamped with permanent waterproof ink.

The stone coaster comes tissue wrapped with a small card containing care instructions and if you buy 4 coasters or more, they come in a small gift box. Anna-Maria Pellegrini has painted all the acrylic illustrations and created the design for the Monarch tile coaster in her East London Hackney-based home studio. The hand-printing process is also done by Anna-Maria herself. Due to the handmade nature of this product and the rustic finish of the tile itself, not two coasters are exactly the same. The marble coaster is entirely Made in the UK - from sourcing the raw materials to the final print finish - and then carefully wrapped, packed and dispatched by Anna-Maria.
