In this originally hand-painted illustration, the deep blue Morpho is gently resting on the leaf of a red garden flower. The Morpho is surrounded by delicate white and pink cherry blossoms that grow in from the side of the coaster. The butterfly wings are of a deep midnight blue and at the edges where they change into a deep black, you can spot a hint of purple and magenta. The fading out of the sky blue watercolour gradient in the background lets the natural marble texture shine through and it gives the appearance, the butterfly has been painted directly onto the stone. This butterfly coaster makes the perfect stocking filler for a butterfly enthusiast.

This butterfly marble coaster makes the perfect Christmas present for a garden and butterfly lover and adds an artistic and joyful touch to any dining and kitchen table. The coaster is very versatile and can be used to hold your freshly brewed coffee mug, a sweet summer drink or a small plant pot or vase.The marble tile underneath the printed floral design has a beautiful natural texture and rounded rustic edges. The print has been sealed with a protective tile varnish to protect the surface from heat, stains and water. The varnish has a slight satin finish. Hot cups and mugs can be placed onto the coaster without any worries, but it is recommended to be careful with hot oven trays, pots and pans. The cork backing prevents any table surfaces from getting scratched and holds the signature teal green AMPellegrini Art & Design logo, which has been ink-stamped with permanent waterproof ink.

The stone coaster comes tissue wrapped with a small card containing care instructions and if you buy 4 coasters or more, they come in a small gift box. Anna-Maria Pellegrini has painted all the acrylic illustrations and created the design for the Morpho tile coaster in her East London Hackney-based home studio. The hand-printing process is also done by Anna-Maria herself. Due to the handmade nature of this product and the rustic finish of the tile itself, not two coasters are exactly the same. The marble coaster is entirely Made in the UK - from sourcing the raw materials to the final print finish - and then carefully wrapped, packed and dispatched by Anna-Maria.
