This Inkcap mushroom illustration has originally been hand painted and then printed onto the beautifully textured stone tile base. If you look closely, you can see the finest paint brush strokes in the print which beautifully work with the organic and irregular texture of the marble. The deep violet mushroom cap with its white shell like texture has quite a surreal touch. This mushroom coaster would make the perfect Christmas gift for that mushroom lover in your friend circle.

The Inkcap mushrooms stone coaster mainly is made from a luxurious marble tile which has a rustic and uneven finish on the edges and corners. This finish is called “tumbled”, so there are no sharp borders on the coaster. Unlike some cheaper stone coaster options out there, these mushroom coasters do not have any chipped corners or borders. When you hold coasters with the same print design next to each other, you can see that no two are the same. The organic and fluid texture of the marble stone varies from having more veins in some parts to showing more of a bubbly looking texture in other areas, which makes each stone tile unique. They can be used to hold your summer drink in the garden or a small vase in the centre of your dining table. Each Inkcap mushroom coaster has been finished with a light satin tile varnish to protect it from stains and heat. You can use hot mugs and cups on the coasters, but I would not recommend placing hot pans and pots on top of them. This mushroom coaster would be an ideal Christmas gift for your mushroom loving friend.
If you spill some wine or coffee on your coaster, simply wipe it with a damp cloth or the soft side of a sponge. Please do not use any rough sponges as these can damage the print. On its back, each stone coaster has a cork backing to prevent your table from getting scratched. If you have a closer look, you will see my AMPellegrini Art & Design logo ink stamped onto the cork with waterproof ink.
The original illustration for the Inkcap mushroom coaster has been hand painted and developed into a print design by myself, Anna-Maria Pellegrini. I mainly work from my East London studio in the UK. My background in textile engineering means that the quality of all product materials (textiles or stone) is most important to me. Creating bold and eye catching posters that will last you for a long time, is the idea behind my collections. All mushroom stone coasters are printed by myself in my east London studio.
